Description
Beaver EMS is currently seeking qualified and enthusiastic paramedics to work on our emergency response services team on a full-time or part-time permanent basis. Beaver EMS is responsible for emergency medical services in Tofield, Viking, and other communities in and around Beaver County. Our service provides three ALS units, with two stationed in the town of Tofield and one in the town of Viking. Beaver EMS provides a competitive wage, comprehensive benefits, RRSP matching, and recertification of standard qualifications as required (ACLS, ITLS, CPR, PALS).
Hours of Work and Pay: Hours of work and pay are per the current CUPE collective agreement. Shifts are 24 hrs each on a core/flex model with three mandatory core hours. Wages are based on 12 regular hours/shift and 12 on call hours/shift. Regular hour wages vary from $29.82 - $39.26/hr based on experience.
Qualifications:
Actively registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics as an EMT-P
Current CPR, ACLS, PALS and ITLS certifications (current NRP is an asset)
Valid Class 4 Driver's Licence (current driver's abstract required prior to date of hire)
Current Criminal Record check, including vulnerable sector, required prior to date of hire
Required Skill Set:
Exercise positive interpersonal interaction with other team members and patients
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be reliable, dependable and capable of working as part of a team
Possess the ability to provide and accept constructive feedback from management and other team members
Willing to participate in public education and continuing education activities
